Spring Tournament Night 2026
Sixteen teams, two referees, and one packed sports hall in Sarajevo. The April bracket night was the biggest we've run.
We turned the old sports hall on Porodice Ribar into a single-evening tournament for the fourth time this spring — and the fourth time, the hall filled before we stopped selling spots. Sixteen teams showed up on a Thursday with exactly two weeks of trash-talk behind them and two referees who had seen worse.
The bracket ran from seven until just after midnight. Quarter-finals by nine, semifinals by eleven, a final that nobody wanted to end. The winning team — a mixed office group from a software firm in Ilidža — celebrated on the court while their colleagues photographed everything from the balcony. Two hundred people in the stands for a Thursday night is something we are still not entirely used to.
We run these events without a headline sponsor and without a fixed venue. The hall changes depending on availability; the format does not. Sixteen teams, single elimination, printed brackets on the wall, a handwritten scoreboard that two volunteers argued over all night. The next bracket night is in June. Register early — we filled this one in nine days.
