UltraTravel was founded in Sarajevo in 2014 by a historian, a climber, and a chef who believed that Bosnia & Herzegovina deserved to be met on its own terms — slowly, with a guide who knows not just the names of places but the weight of them.
Twelve years later, we remain a boutique operator by design. We cap every journey at sixteen guests. We stay in the kind of places the owners will greet you by name. And we spend as much time at the table as we do on the trail — because in this country, stories are how you taste a place.
What binds our itineraries together is not a theme or a single season. It is the quiet belief that the Balkans reward patience, and that the best way to understand this land is to let it unfold around you, one unhurried day at a time.
