Depart Sarajevo
One-hour drive onto the Bjelašnica plateau.

Start of hike
Gentle 6-km loop through the meadows above the old Olympic village. Wildflowers in June; mushrooms in September.

Lunch at a mountain lodge
Family lodge that has been in operation since before the war. Hot soup, fresh bread, grilled trout from the stream below.

The old Olympic ruins
Walk through the abandoned ski facilities from the 1984 Winter Games — now slowly going back to the mountain.

Return to Sarajevo
Back in the city by 17:30.
