The day

Hour by hour.

  1. 09:30

    Meet at the Sebilj

Start at the wooden fountain at the heart of the bazaar. The guide introduces the layered history — Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, Yugoslav — that makes this square what it is.

  2. 10:00

    Mosque & caravanserai

Visit the Gazi Husrev-beg complex, still the center of Sarajevo's Muslim community, and the old caravanserai next door.

  3. 11:00

    Coffee stop

A real Bosnian coffee at a kafana that has been operating since 1864 — poured from a copper džezva into fildžan cups, served with rahatlokum.

  4. 11:45

    Latin Bridge

Walk to the Latin Bridge where Franz Ferdinand was shot in 1914. The guide explains what came next — not just the war, but the century.

  5. 12:30

    Finish

The walk ends at the cathedral square. You are free to continue on your own — lunch suggestions provided.
